Kindle Task Bar Keeps Disappearing

I had a problem with the task bar (accross the top) randomly disappearing.  It would sometimes come back for 1 second and then disappear again.  

After doing some research and playing around with things.....all I had to do to fix was go into GMail program and make sure to turn off notifications for all my accounts.  Once that was done it seemed to work beautifully once again.  

Taskbar did not disappear again.
