This blog is my attempt to share information with faculty, introducing new apps, websites, or other snippets of information that may be of use to faculty. I am also using it to keep track of projects I'm working on that might be good to reference in the future.

Photo Geotagging Concerns

iPhones and other smart phones and cameras may include geotracking information on photo's you post online or share, which can lead people to find out exactly where you have been. These features can be great for field trips and classroom projects, but if you aren't careful they can reveal more information than you want at times.

Watch this video to learn about it:

Go to this web site for more examples and to get directions on how to turn off these features:

Powerpoint Tip

Just came across a cool PowerPoint Tip for presentations:
When in presentation mode, you can press the letter B and the screen goes blank with a black background, and when you hit w the screen goes white. You can use the arrow keys (or any other key) to bring your presentation back to life, right where you left off. A nice trick, when you want to get the focus off the screen and back on the you (the presenter).
